My cousin plays Viola. As a violinist i have mixed feelings, BUT, they do sound really nice.
i've never heard of a violist changing to a violin, only violinists going to viola so that says something.

I never wanted to play violin it just kinda happened
But viola has alot of pros for me. I have long arms so a viola is much more comfortable then a full size violin, and I like the sound of viola more cause I am not a fan of high pitched sounds.

Yees. I too play the recorder and fiddle around (no pun intended) on my brother's viola sometimes just for fun.

No, I can play alto and tenor too. Don't know if my hands have the reach yet for bass.

I have a tenor too, but I am not sure if I hold it correctly cause even with my decent sized fingers it get uncomfortable really quick.
Again, self taught so probably just me

Yeah, that was kinda tough for me as well, but I got used to it.


Until I broke it.
