Where did they come from???

Pics
're the chickens sleeping under the coop, you could go in after dark and gently put them inside the coop. They'll get used to it after a few days and go in on their own.
I will try that this evening. Last night was like working in a hurricane and they were already all spazzed out with the rescue mission.

Y'all! I'm so sorry! My phone is giving me fits on this site! I guess it's my phone, it never happened when I logged in from a computer. I'm still getting a weird app notice and it kicks me off constantly! (I'll be surprised if I'm able to post this). I've tried to read through and post a few times over the weekend but I keep getting kicked back to a weird app thing.

I've reported it a couple weeks ago, but it's still an issue and has gotten worse.

UPDATES: Still no hen and babies.

And my camera battery died, then my husband commandeered the camera because, alas, hunting season is upon us.

I'll still keep an eye out for her. But I'm thinking if she were back there Mr. Squatch would call to her. Unless he's just over her and her crazy feral ways.

I'm going to try to get caught up on here and on my other recipe thread but I may have to wait till I get back home and get on my dang computer.

I hope you all are well!
lol I think you meant to post this on the other thread... I'll do it for you:p

If they're used to being outside, they may not like going in the coop for awhile. When I got my 1 day old chicks last year, they lived in my house for awhile then outside in a giant coop with lots of branches and perches they liked to sleep on. Then something got in through the top netting and killed one chicken, so I redid their coop under my deck and my dad spent forever making them a gorgeous house. It's a 3 foot tall free-standing house on a 3 foot tall open base, inside a 12 foot tall 10x10 coop. They have playroom under the house and can fly to the top. Since the roof of the house is taller than the roost bar inside it, they sleep on top. They will go in it and use the nest box like pros, but don't even acknowledge that they are supposed to go in it otherwise. If I know it's going to rain at night I have to go out and grab their sleepy butts from the top and plop them inside to keep them dry. Your set-up may be completely different of course, but if they're used to being outside they might not like feeling confined for a bit. I'm sure they'll get used to it in their own way though, like my brats did.
I LOVED your photo! That chick is soooo tiny! Do you know what kind it is?

I've done that before. It's hard to tell what thread I'm on sometimes, esp b/c it's mostly the same people and there's overlapping topics.

Oh shoot!

Sorry!

I responded to the wrong thread!
