Yes thank you they are a heritage breed imported in in the 1840's 100% chicken!! :) and Thanks for the compliment! They aren't rare or anything called Black Sumatra's, just wanted something that is heat tolerant, good at avoiding predation, eye candy in sunlight, and to make the neighbors have chicken envy once they are mature, also they are a longtail breed. They aren't anything show quality at all but can fly for sure so hope they stay around.

I'm finding that there are many beautiful chickens that don't look like chickens at all. Lol. Those puffy head and puffy feet critters are too cute...Silkies? They look like some mythical creature from Narnia...lol

Do you have a pic of yours with the sun hitting their feathers? I bet that is a stunning sight to see...
