I would take her in she is a cute little thing. Do you free range your birds?
Some one may have dropped her off thinking she would blend in with them.

She may be a drop-off or she may have decided a new home is in order. One of my three guinea hens decided to pair up with my neighbor's male guinea and they are living at a third place!! (We figure - if they are happy . . .) the new owners aren't complaining, so we'll just let them be happy.

Where I am, chickens end up at the local animal shelters on a fairly regular basis - have you tried calling the closest shelter to see if there's a report of a missing chicken?

Looks like a pretty EE girl to me! If it were me, and I had asked around the neighborhood to see if someone had lost their chicken, I would keep her. She chose you- or someone abandoned her.

Either way, she's fortunate to have a good home now.

Consider her yours....she chose you after all.

Her colouring is very like one of my cross hens.

Dad is Brahma, so I am guessing light brown eggs if she ever gets to laying (25 weeks old).

Thepromis....Any eggs yet from YOUR pretty girl, and if so, what colour?

nothing yet... she is only 3/4 of the size of everyones else... so im guessing she still very young. but i hope she lays soon, ive never had colored eggs before. but i hear sometimes EE lay normal Brown eggs??? is that true, cuz they are mixed with other breeds?
