Where do I find...

I'm very interested in learning about the color genetics of chickens. I am strongly considering working on a project, but I have no idea where to start and I definitely don't understand how the color genes work. Could anyone tell me where to find good information (websites, books, personal knowledge) about the way things work? I would really appreciate it!
