where do you buy fish meal?

I'm having a hard time finding it here and I live near several feed mills. Petaluma. Used to be the egg basket of California. Anyone know where I can get it?

There are tons of feed stores out my way. I got to the Hayward area once or twice a month. Will probably be out there this weekend or day before Thanksgiving.

If you can find a way or someone to meet between here and there I can pick it up for you. i come through the Altamount.

Check online for feed stores in Stanisluas County.

Best help I can be right now.

I'll actually be going that way all the way to Bakersfield tomorrow morning to attend the Poultry show they are having. Do you know of any specific stores?

Best,
Frank

Try

Jesse's on Alvarado - this is my feed store and they will order just about anything you need or want. Family store and very nice.

JS West on 9th and G

Crossroads .......hmmmmmmmmmmm. think it's on hatch

Farm Supply on Service Rd

These are the ones I go to....although never been to Crossroads one of the auction workers here works there. It's supposed to be a great store with stuff others don't have, so maybe

I talked to one of the owners at Jess's and she's going to let me know tomorrow about ordering fish meal, but I want some idea of what the prices are out there. If it's not a good price I don't want them to order it and have it cost them. They're just too nice to have them get things in that other people in this area don't use.

Sooooo, Central Valley and Bay Area....hmmmm OK even Sacramento Area..........What are yyou paying and what it too much?

Someone please give me an idea.

OK then if it's more than $1/lb I should not have her order it then right?

I have no idea how they buy it and I guess I need to go in and talk to her husband or son. Not that she wouldn't know and she's great at getting me what I want. LOL

I just want to make sure they don't stock up too much and then not be able to off load it. I think most people who are in my area are more into Games and not just cause their purdy!

I know I want some, but not all that much and want to make sure they have other buyers if I'm going to bug them to start stocking it. I'd hate to have them not get me things if I can't help by sending in others. I want to make it accessible without costing them.

There's a few other feed stores around, but I even go to them if the price is a bit higher. Just don't want it to be too much higher though. They take good care of their customers and from what I found online today they are probably making the least profit. Wouldn't have suspected that though when I went to pick up rabbit food and ask about the fish meal. The place was packed and they were really running for everyone. I'm so tired of the others. I can't ever get a straight answer. Just before my husband died he went to one that's the "IT" feed store and order a part that they said would be $6. They called when it got in 10 days later (said it would be 3-4) and when we went to pick it up they rang up $38! Needless to say we walked, but the other have been almost as bad. I lnow at Jess's if I order by friday it's there the next monday. And sometimes they cut the price for me.
