Where do you keep your brooders?

I have a sink by the backdoor that holds the small brooder cage wonderfully. Stinks alot less this way too!

the basement and /or garage some times both , after a few weeks when it warm they go out to the big garage and chicken coop in small cages

That way you don't have to bother with the pens, you just have to watch where you walk is all.....

I put it in the basement. Stable air temperature and no predators. I use cheap plastic swimming pools in the beginning and put a cardboard wall around that when they are several weeks old. It has no corners to get piled up in. I place the light off center so chicks can move in or out to get the heat they prefer. It is easy to clean and sanitize after each use. I have bantams so I don't need as substantial brooder as those of you with standards.
