Where do you learn this stuff?

I've asked in another thread if there was a book for the layman regarding chicken breeding and basic genetics, but I really didn't get much of a response. Before someone says just read the posts here, I have been, and I do not know a lot of the language apparently, so I am still lacking. Where can I go to learn the basics of this stuff?

There are several books out there about chickens and articles as well. Tractor supply carries them and so does big r. I picked up one that had every problem you could possibly deal with with chickens. I thought about buying it but it was like 25 bucks

I have books about chickens and the problems they have. I can't seem to find any on beginning genetics and chickens. Much less beginning genetics of anything.

What do you want to know? Its basic biology:
AA + BB = AA, BB, AB as possible sex combos
Now
AB + AB does not = AB because they are trading the same alleles.
AB + BB = AB
I hope i got that all right im thinking back to high school lol
