Where/how should I store the feed?

We keep ours in large metal trash cans with lids, beside our 2 runs, each holds 2 50 lb. sacks of feed.

I've been keeping my dog food in a plastic garbage can for years- and I have mice (they make nests under the hood of my vehicles.) I've never had anything chew through it, or even make an attempt that I know of. I'm keeping my chicken feed in one now too, with no problems as of yet.

I use those airtight dog/cat food storage containers. I have yet to have any problems with ants, mice, or rats in any of my food. You can usually find them cheeper at WalMart than at PetSmart....
