I do not know of any hatcheries that do not have a minimum of 15.

Maybe you should check Craigslist.

Or, you could purchase 15 from a hatchery and then sell the extras...

Hope this helps!

Ideal has a $25 dollar minimum on all poultry they sell. If you order less than their minimum number they will put male chicks (chicken) in the box to keep the babies warm. They did it with goslings, they sent 3 goslings with 13 'free' male chicks.

ETA: Sorry, I just checked on their site. Since they don't hatch them themselves you have to meet the minimum. For the broadbreasteds and chocolates they don't have a minimum listed on their site. All others are at least 10 unless you get an assortment which have minimums of 15 (3 breeds) and 20 (4 breeds). I would call them if you are interested in broadbreasted bronze or whites or chocolates and see if they would do the $25 minimum order.

I know for a fact that chocolates at ideal are min 10 even though it isn't on the site. We tried to just order 8, but got a call the next day and had to upgrade to 10.

Hopefully we will get them on the 11th.

I ordered a single turkey from Cackle with 25 chicks. Are you wanting heritage breeds or BB? If you have an incubator you could always try hatching some.

Ideal does not breed heritage turkeys. They drop ship them from Privett just like Welp does.

Sand Hill also lets you mix chicks and turkeys.

If you live near a Farm & Fleet you can special order to get the turkey breeds you want or wait to take your chances on getting what comes in. I beleive they get theirs from Cackle. It's too late to special order for this year but they do get pullets in if you are not picky about the breeds.
