Where the heck did my egg go?

I set 6 'fertile' eggs under my broody and around hatch date I only had 5 eggs. 3 hatched healthy chicks, one died partially hatched and one never hatched - dead in the shell. So what happened to #6?? No sign of a shell or dead chick, nothing. Did she eat it?

I have a roo that will push eggs out of the nest when the hens aren't looking and eat them.

Yup she or some other chicken prob ate it. Mine were eating the chicks as they hatched and Imanaged to save TWO out of eight

Wish I had know before that she may do that I would have watched more.

Well, I don't have a Roo so it must have been my broody or one of my other 7 hens. She's a great mother to her 3 chicks. She won't leave them for a minute. I brought them in to show my wife and mom followed me to the kitchen door and paced outside until I brought them back out.
