I've given hens some BOSS from a bulk area at Rural King, and wanted to buy more. On the bags it says "only for wild birds, not for human consumption, don't feed to pets or food bearing animals (something like that), wash hands well after filling feeder.... Will these poison the eggs? I'm confused.
ACV? I've never been able to find anything that says "unfiltered" on it.....is the regular kind from the grocery store not doing any good? Would organic cost way a lot??
Help!

I doubt it will poison the eggs. Probably treated with something to inhibit sprouting. I would look for another brand of BOSS. I've seen posts about buying the organic ACV at Trader Joes, and yes I'm sure it costs more.

Do the girls like it? What are the benefits? I was thinking of making my own mix of supplemental treats... What are some other grains I could add to the BOSS?

I always mix half and half scratch and BOSS. BOSS has alot of protien and I think it improves feather quality its just a healthier snack then straight cracked corn or scratch grains. I really think it makes the black feathers have an added green sheen in the sunlight.
