At first I didn't know what BOSS or ACV meant. However why would they put wash your hands afterwards or not to feed it to food bearing animals if it were safe? Also if the stuff commercial poultry farms feed their birds gets into the food source, such as antibiotics,hormones, etc., why do you feel your chickens are any different? They apparently believe the stuff in or on this seed is not safe for human consumption and that should be enough for you to understand.

OP asked will this poison the eggs and the answer is YES!

I get Royal wing boss from tractor supply ,I just went down and checked the bag and it says not for human consumption, but nothing about washing hands or not feeding to other animals. what kind do you have?

I make my own ACV, usually by the gallon, and it last all year marrie

It could very well be ok for chickens but not ok for humans as they may need some special type of processing for human consumption, such as roasting. What they sell for birds may be "raw" seeds. One thing you can do is write the company.

I didn't realize this until yesterday, but...ACV can be made partly made from petroleum also. EEEWWW!!!! I couldn't believe it but did a little research and it is true. It's the alcohol part that is made from petroleum. I'm going to Whole Foods and get a couple of gallons of theirs. I know that won't be made with petroleum.

I will research a bit how to make it... If it isn't difficult, I'll go that route. We don't have much in the way or organics around these parts.

I actually have my first batch fermenting now. In season I can easily come by un-messed with apple cider or juice, but for now I went to the store and got "Simply Apple." It is definitely turning to "hard" cider (it's fizzy), so I'm pretty sure it will go to vinegar in a couple of weeks.
