I have a cabinet incubator that I was told was a GQF, but I think it's actually a homemade one. It needs a new heating element, but I'm having a hard time finding one that's long enough. I've ordered 2 different ones already that were too short, and smaller in diameter than the original. Wrapping a string around where the element goes, it measures 27". How much stretching can it do and still be effective? And how do I figure out what wattage I need? Does the diameter matter? Where can I find what I need to get this working again? I really know nothing about how everything works.
