Im in GA and Id like to add to my LF buff cochins. Ive never ordered from a hatchery, the girls I have now came from a friend. Any suggestions. I dont mind getting 25, they will not be for show, but I would like nice round fluffy birds. Ive searchedand searched locally but cant find anything. Any thoughts?

Most hatcheries have them, you can order there, but probably half or less will actually have BIG and round, fluffy looking birds. You can always do some research, see which hatchery tends to plop out the best stuff, and go with them. There's a couple threads like for Ideal that show people's adult stock from the hatchery. You can also google images search for "Buff Cochin" (insert hatchery name) and you might find some examples, although lots may be Bantams.

Go to the Chattahoochee Valley Poultry Show on the 18th and 19th of February. There will probably be some for sale there, or talk to the Secretary of the show Beth Smith. Her and her husband Jerry have probably the best Cochins in the South.
