Just figured I'd add to the post
I keep my feeder inside because if I don't the crows and chipmunks steal TONS of feed. The water I keep inside during the winter to keep it from freezing and then I move it outside during the summer. I'd rather deal with a mouse or two in the coop then to feed the crows and chipmunks. Chipmunks may be small, but they just keep coming back and stuffing those cheeks over and over !
what ever works best for you, though, is what you need to do.
