where to place the air sac during lockdown.

I am just about to lockdown my goose eggs. I have marked the growth of the air sac and was now wondering about the position of the air sac. Would it be better to place the egg with the largest area of the air sac down or up or does it matter?

Lay the egg on it's side or slightly tilted with air sac up. Egg needs to be able to roll around so the baby is in the right position.

Thanks. I started thinking about how to position the egg during lockdown. Usually I just place them horizontally and do not think about the air sac. This is the first time I have penciled in the air sac during the incubation period.

My female is also about to hatch the 4 eggs she has been sitting on, so it may be a herd of little goslings running about!

I have the best luck with hatching them in an egg tray that holds them upright.
