Hello BYC'ers.
Many people post stuff that doesn't belong in this section. It is a growing problem as we get more members. Here is a little guide of what is to be posted in each little section we have here on BYC:

BYC Website & Forum Feedback & Announcements-In this section, the staff posts important news, offers and memers ask questions and record feedback about how the site is and works. This includes how to make smileys, how to make a poll and how to post.
Incubating & Hatching Eggs-In this section, you ask questions and post pictures of incubators and ask stuff including what temperature incubators should be and when to start expect a hatch.
Raising Baby Chicks-Here, you post pictures of your new chicks, maybe their parents and ask questions on how to raise these beautiful birds.
Coop & Run - Design, Construction, & Maintenance-Here, you can post pictures of a completed coop or how to make one, an d you can ask questions like should I use clear plastic or glass as windows and how to predator-proof a run.
Feeding & Watering Your Flock-Here, you ask questions about a chickens diet and ask which brand of food is best, and other stuff in that area.
Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures-Here is where the people who are vets fell most at home. If someones chicken is wheezing, you post it here and someone will hopefully answer, quick as lightning. You can post pictures of the 'victim' and how-to's on curing poultry.
Predators and Pests-Here is the section where you can discuss stuff like how to catch a fox and you can also post pictures of a captured predator.
Chicken Behaviors and Egglaying-Here you can post questions like Why do chickens have a pecking order and why your hens won't lay anymore. Also pictures of your first egg, double-yolk etc.
Managing Your Flock-Here you can post stuff including how to trim wings and guides to help people manage their flock, including thru the winter and heat.
Meat Birds ETC-Here is the section of BYC to explain stuff about meat Birds. You can also discuss how to slaughter chickens and maybe a guide on how to do it quick and humane.
Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances (and how to change them)-Basically, these are rules of each state and sometimes city. Also, you can discuss how the sheriff came and shot your chickens as they were illegal there.
Pictures & Stories of My Chickens-Here, as the title states, you can post pictures of your favorite hen, chick, rooster etc. Also, a favorite in this section is The Adventures of Barbara
Breeds, Genetics, & Showing-Here, you can post pictures of all the breeds and how to identify them, pics included.
What Breed Or Gender is This?-Pretty self explanatory! Basically, what you do is post a pic and vital info about a chicken, and someone will identify it.
Online Poultry Show-You post contest of poultry on here, and you can also put prizes!
Chicken Breeders & Hatcheries-In this section you can rate Hatcheries and ask of the quality of it.
New Member Introductions-Newbies, come stop bye here to introduce yourself! Other members can welcome them to BYC here!
Family Life - Stories, Pictures & Updates-Here is a sad section. You can post how you got divorced, or how your parents are fighting. But the bright side is you can post it's your birthday on here, and other stuff!
Where am I? Where are you!-Here you will find various groups for different states. If you are from NJ, find the NJ Group and post with your 'people'!
Hobbies-Here ya'll can post your favorite hobbies and maybe create an online knitting club etc!
Games, Jokes, and Fun!-Ahhh..... My section. Here, you can post games such as Role-Plays and "What would you do if...." And chats!
Chickenstocks, Shows, Meet-Ups-Here you can post info about shows NOT online, such as state fairs and Poultry Shows.
Egg, Chicken, & Other Favorite Recipes-The Chef's Heart- Post recipes and pictures of your favorite recipes for others to use.

Other Poultry Database Project-Here you can help build a database and view facts about breeds.

Tips on Posting:
When using smileys, leave a space before and after. Not "Look
" but "Look
"
Highlight text and click on either bold, italic or underline to have the highlighted space put to that.
Make the Topic Title sound as Detailed and explanatory as possible.
Topic Titles can only hold 70 characters, including spaces.
Make your words Legible and Spelled correctly, soo pieple dont havve to raed like tis.
Explain your message thoroughly and get to the point.
Be nice and if someone else disregards a BYC Rule, click report and helpfully, thoroughly explain what they did wrong in the Report Box
If you have a question, ask it.
Try not to do more than 6 quotes, as after that, it gets hard to read.
