Hi I spend a lot of time on sister site TEG. I always loved ducks, I have wanted East Indie ducks for the longest time . I bought a pair sight unseen, they are very hard to find here. I am setting up a run for them, question is where. I have a cement slab, positives nothing can tunnel in, I can hose clean. Not sure ducks feet on cement. Other choice is lawn, positive more natural ,bugs and grass to eat. When lawn starts getting muddy move run to another spot. What is better for ducks cement or grass? Thank you

If you use cement try horse stall rubber mats and then use wood shaving [horse bedding] inside their house. Are you going to able be to let them out some during the day to play in the yard so they can have their natural fun like drilling holes to China?
East Indies are so gorgeous please be sure to post pics. another nice thing about cement and rubber stall mats is when using a pool inside the ground won't get all mucky.

Hello...Summer and winter plays a big part in my set up.
Summer I have sand down and usually don't have a pool in the Run. They bath daily when I let them out to free range as I watch over them. In the house is pine shavings.
In winter I have a spot for straw out in the Run..
