I will never forget sitting at my desk at work (Police Department Evidence Room) watching it on TV.

watching the tribute and reading of the 70 some injuries to our servicemen from a terrorist truck bomb near Kabul Afghanistan where my son is serving...some things are worth fighting for...some worth dying for...our freedoms and way of life are under constant threat from those who hate us and our freedoms...pray for our heroes past and present who put it all on the line to preserve the Republic...and all the innocents who got in the way...

and to all who protest and stick their heads in the sand, don't worry, we will look out for you too...

I was at work at a veterinarian's office, when one of our clients came in and told us what was going on. We had small TVs in the exam rooms and the rest of the day they were not used for the pet care videos they were intended for. Everyone was in shock that day...

I remember I couldn't wait to get home to my family, and just kept praying.
