Where would you live?

Southern Appalachains--don't really care if it's Tennnessee, NC or Virginia. Gorgeous country with four seasons but usually no real extremes. Unfortunately my hubby is in the computer industry so there's no real job scope for him--besides I have 10 acres here in the Piedmont of NC that I've poured huge amounts of elbow grease into.

I guess you never know where you are supposed to be until you get there! But on the money level thing we are actually in a poorer, rural area in North Central AR which means that while the people around here aren't destitute, they are down to earth and the cost of living isn't high because if it was then everybody would be homeless! I think that poorer areas are better, you don't feel bad if you have to go to the neighbor's house to borrow something because you know they will return the favor!

I always tell my hubby if we ever had to leave Alaska, I'd like to go back to either Washington or Montana. I enjoy the PNW, too, don't mind the rain, and there's lots of open space.
