I have never had mac and cheese for any holiday. Ok, maybe 4th of July @Brooks_@Brooks_
That really surprises me coming from Mizzou. I was just watching a thing on tv where they were ranking Thanksgiving dishes and Mac and cheese was ranked in the top 5 by everyone. And, some of these were even yanks that were doing the ranking.
We are not talking a box of Kraft instant here, but homemade baked Mac and Cheese. People put their own spin on it of course with what exact ingredients they use. Sometimes I make it with as much as 7 different cheeses. It is usually the dish I spend the most money on.
I can't say it is a 4th dish here. I guess some here may, but the 4th is going to be potato salad, slaw, fries, baked beans as sides. I guess mac and cheese could sneak in there, though.I have never had mac and cheese for any holiday. Ok, maybe 4th of July @Brooks_
Yeah, same here except we have chili for the hot dogs and watermelon too @Brooks_I can't say it is a 4th dish here. I guess some here may, but the 4th is going to be potato salad, slaw, fries, baked beans as sides. I guess mac and cheese could sneak in there, though.
I can say I have never been to any Christmas or Thanksgiving meals when there wasn't baked Mac n Cheese.
