Today I took the chicks out for play/bonding time. They were both perched on my arm when all of a sudden Jacob sees the cat and flies off of my arm......to chase the cat. So the cat is running with Jacob chasing her and I'm chasing Jacob and holding Claudette. This went on for a few minutes before the cat ran into the bathroom and I caught Jacob. Luckily no one was around to witness me shuffling around on my knees chasing a chicken

I have some pictures of them from today before this happened. (Jacob is the blue and Claudie is white)

Thank you! My cat is afraid of everything. I'd never leave them alone with her, but if I did there probably wouldn't be much to worry about. It is always interesting to see how they'll react to a new pet.

Yeah, I'd love to have cats again! I know the dog and the chickens get along just fine. Our hen used to sleep in the dog house (by choice), but our new babies our a little more weary so I'm not sure how they'd react to anything that really wanted to pounce them!

We have 4 indoor cats that have been around birds, small to large, guinea pigs, tortoises, fish, dogs and more...I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the chickens. lol

My cat has no interest in my fish, she's scared of my tortoise (except when said tortoise is sleeping, then she'll jump in with her for a nap

), she was afraid of my guinea pigs, she's terrified of Blue (he's the only dog she's met) and she's scared of other cats. She likes looking at the chicks when they're in the kennel, but when they come out? Forget about it. She takes off. I hope your cats take to them well!

We have one 22lb orange tabby who now tries to stare sideways out the back screen door all day due to a dove nesting on our cattle skull right outside the door..other than that..he lays on his back all day..we have one scaredy cat, one older tabby who is just sick of mommy bringing in new babies..and the youngest who has no idea what to think of this zoo....we will see!
