Where's the best place to buy chicken eggs?

Let me expose some reality about chicken eggs. Most sellers will want to sell you GOOD EGGS. Not all of them know how to package them well. NOT ALL THOSE THAT HANDLE THEM,,, (Postal service) are GENTLE ENOUGH. Being transported over rough roads, also a factor. All this adds up to peeps having poor results with shipped eggs... I did not say NO RESULTS, just not great results.
My suggestion,, is to find some peeps locally, or short drive from your town, and purchase fresh, fertile eggs from an individual chicken keeper.
I do not know your location, but if you are in the US, you can look up your STATE THREAD, and post your desired purchase there. If you are in a different country, am sure they have local threads there also.
Consider getting live chicks from the many hatcheries . Yes, there are minimum number purchased, but you can opt for different assorted breeds as well.
I'm sure there will be others here that will respond with reliable egg sellers.
The choice is up to you. :thumbsup
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and :welcome

I've been wanting to order eggs but I don't know what online sites to trust, does anybody know a good (and trustworthy) place to buy from?
i have purchased from eBay several times..more than several actually. i know you have to be careful but i look for NPIP certified, ONLY people who are relatively close...(from CA) tho hav purchased from AL once and that was fine. never opposite coast..to far to travel. also take into consideration temps. dont order from deep south in mid summer etc....being in ca i look for AZ, WA, TX basically west side of country. i have had GREAT hatches and fine hatches. always depending on how you treat them when you get them, how the trip went. kinda out of our control. let them rest for 6-8 hours before giving to hen...meaning dont turn or disturb them. hope this helps.

Thanks! I've been looking for porcelain d'uccle eggs and all I can find are places that sell chicks, I looked on ebay and I found what I was looking for but they didn't say NPIP. Should I still go with it?

are there any pics of the flock? can you tell if kept well? i prob have bought some not NPIP....is it really close to you? are you sure that is the only one? if i really really wanted i would probably go for it IF their seller score was at least 97% positive..did you read her record and see any comments..thats super important. and if its a bidding thing dont bid til a few minutes before the bidding closes. let is us know how it goes if you do get...where are you located? i have a friend who ONLY does bantams but we are in CA

I live in Utah and it says the eggs are from Missouri. The seller has 100% positive feedback.
