They come in a virety of colors and you can buy the at almost any hatchery or local breeders! ( don't forget local breeders the tend to spend more time with their birds)

Where do you get your OEGBs? My brother got one and it is the tiny little thing and lays an amazing egg for its size. It also peeps instead of clucking like other chickens. Gloria Jean

The best place to get them that I know of in NC is during the Salisbury poultry show. There is a couple of guys that sell some really pretty OEGBs, mostly black or BB Red. They are a lot smaller than hatchery birds for sure and have better tails and body shape.

Sebrights are REALLY cool looking. They arent as friendly as some (normally,) but they still have my vote!!

Oh yeah, and OEGB's are GREAT!!

I have never been around Dutch, so I cant recommend them.

I beg to differ on the fast maturing. They may start laying eggs sooner, but only if they have long backs, which is incorrect. Most are a year and a half before they are done growing and have their breasts. Those with long backs, extremely undesirable, do lay well, but most good ones don't.
