I am currently smelling my STINKY house because I have momma hen and her eggs in the brooder in the house...

If I were to ever want to hatch eggs of hers again I would most likely want a bator so my house doesn't stink so much...what bator would you recomend for SMALL amounts of eggs (like 3 or so at a time) and not expensive (best for less)

I know they sell some for schools, but I'm not sure if they sell some that are for even smaller batches like 5 or under??? Maybe 10 and under?

Thanks...I'll look into those...

I have a GQF Genesis and love it! Mine is on it's second run and the first time I've filled it full! I've got 42 in the auto turner right now, starting day 10... 20 are BCMs and I can't see thru the dark shells well enought to see what they're doing but as far as the rest of them 20 going strong and 2 clear... all 42 are shipped eggs. I'm STOKED

I love my Hovabator Genesis 1588.... it is temp pre-set and easy to use. I had a great hatch with mine, it was reliable and easy to clean. I purchased it with the turner from Smith Poultry Supplies and it was sent priority the same day. Highly recommend them.

I bought it when they were running a sale and saved about $25.00 on it and the turner.

We bought a Hovabator 2362N with turner, and it was so easy to use. It's day 20 and as of an hour ago there is peeping coming from the eggs inside. We candled at day 10 and all 42 were developing, none clear. Hoping for a good ratio of hatch. Still hoping a couple of our hens go broody in a few weeks. Our first time hatching, so pretty exciting.

How many eggs do you want to be able to hatch at one time?

What is your budget that you are willing to spend for the machine?

Answer those two and we can narrow it down pretty fast.

.....Alan.
