Hi, I was wondering if anybody can tell me which duck breed we have. The ducklings are now approximately 5 weeks old.

Our ducks are now 4.5 months. Since they aren't really developing caruncles yet, we wonder if they might be mule ducks. We'd love to hear what you think!

thanks for your reply!
We bought them as two males by the way (but of course this doesn't have to be right). The sound they make also doesn't sound like the muscovy sounds I come across online. They still chirp a lot, so maybe they are a bit too young to say anything about that.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know. We are very curious...

Thanks for your message. We also have this suspicion when we compare them with 'purebred' photos. Not only the missing caruncles but also the body shape seems a bit different to us. But these are our first ducks, so we don't know much about it...
I'll try to make a video and upload it.

We don't like them any less when it's a mix, it just makes us curious😉
