brushing on will be a thicker coat, the spray is like spray paint. you dont get the brush stroke lines either.

P.S. I just got three with the speckles, just not as pronounced as yours and I only have 1 BO, so maybe it is not proper pigmenting mine have only been going about a month now. Never thought to keep one though.

I would not think I would be saving either... but there are certain ones that are just so pretty. I want to fill up an old country basket I have for decorations. I think what I am going to do is put some in the basket now and take a pic and use if for my flyer... wouldnt that look nice. LOL... Then I can just fill it with the "blown" ones as I get them.

Thanks for the info! I do appreciate it! Hey what about dipping? Would that work? Pour a little in an old bowl and then dip the egg in... that way it gets on the inside too and enfoces the shell so it does not have a chance to break...

might work...

I love the speckled ones... some of them are just so pretty!!!

never shellaced an egg, but have done wood and if you want to see the detail the thinner the coat the better. As far as dipping i would think that would be real thick. so once shellac dries, you may not see the spotting. As far as keeping fingerprints off I would think you could suspend the egg using paperclip and thread through the whole you used to blow out the egg. Maybe blow out a normal(I should say comman egg since they are all special because they are from your hens) and see what works best. Maybe i will try one at home I think I still have some spray from last project at home.

LOL. I would have never thought of it. Wonderful, I just learn so many things everyday on this site.

And as for the shellack... I know what you mean about brush strokes... personal experiance with my kitchen table... after my last post I went and looked at it. I mean it is still pretty and all... but could have been better.

I even talked to DH about this, he said for me to go get a can of it and not even attempt brush or dip. So majority rules LOL.
