Which breed of chicken is at the top of your flock (pecking order)

Its either my Blue Andalusian or my Buff Orpington...

I only have three but it goes like this Marsala Production Red is top hen, then Azalea our Rhode Island Red and finally our Taryn our Silver Lace Wyandotte she's the poor lowly hen but she doesn't get into trouble or anything because of it just eats last. My reds seem to be very kind and tolerate they never kick butt.

My top hen is Scrambles the EE. Sometimes it seems like she got all the attitude in that batch (I got all three EEs at the same time). Second place goes to my Speckled Sussex, Freckles. She's a year younger than Scrambles so I have a feeling there may be a shake up in the line up in another year or so. Or maybe not. We'll see. But those two have all the attitude in the run! Everyone else just chills.

One of my Australorps used to be the VERY bossy boss. I think the other chickens got sick of her bossy ways, because I caught her lying in the dirt the other day letting my barred Plymouth Rock 'Matilda' jump all over her and pick at her feathers. That afternoon Matilda decided SHE was boss, and she has been ever since. She used to be a fairly calm, tame chicken, but now she is the first to leap out of the coop in the morning, the noisest, and she runs around sqwaking at the slightest provocation and treats me like I'm some kind of monster....... If she keeps up the bad, noisy behaviour, she might just be renamed sunday roast!
