Which breed of ducks to get?

Mine are originally from Holderread. They're show lines and very good examples of the breed. I would recommend Holderread hands down as a place to get ducklings, though they are very possibly sold out for the year now.

I do sell and ship. Right now I have none available but if you wanted I could hatch ducklings for you. If you're interested in going that route, shoot me a PM

Do you sell and ship fertile eggs? I have a chicken hen who just went broody and I’d love to try hatching some.

I have also fallen into the rabbit hole of which wonderful duck breed?! LOL! I love the look & temperament of the Cayugas, and the possibility of perpetuating a threatened heritage breed (though they seem common enough from hatcheries.) But really I want ducks for eggs so the the practicality of having khaki campbells for higher egg turn out per feed appeals as well. I'm tempted get all females in a couple of different types and just order more ducklings when they slow down laying and not bother with drakes. We live in the country with a big empty fenced grassy paddock for foraging space (we used to breed & board horses but just have 2 for lawn ornaments now. LOL!)
