Hiya! I’m looking for an ID on this girl.
22weeks old, feathered feet, “unsexed silkie and banty” was on the tag.
I got 4 total, one turned out to be a rooster so it got rehomed, it was a gold silkie. Also got another gold silkie that was a girl, and a golden seabright banty. The banty is about half the size of the silkies, the silkies are about half the size of my gold sex link girl.
And there’s this girl.. I named her “Betty”, how fitting lol. She’s a sweetheart.
I’m thinking Cokrin (sp?) because of the feathered feet, mini sized? She’s only about 4 pounds. Thanks in advance!

She is litterally the sweetest critter ever. Like a dog, always wanting to be around me and be petted. All my chickens where handled an equal amount, and Betty and the gold sex link always want to be pet.
I believe that she laid her first egg this morning, and I was able to get some good pictures of her today, so I could post them. Curious on her breed, never seen one like her before.

Is there anything in particular that I need to know about her?
like heat/cold tolerance?
They do great in the cold. They are not very heat tolerant though. All that fluff makes them hot. Make sure she's got plenty of ventilation, shade, and fresh water during the hot months of the year.

She will most likely go broody. A lot. Be prepared to let her hatch or break her promptly.

I hope she does ok. I’m in SE New Mexico and 100+ is regular, 110 not uncommon. It’s been in the 90’s so far.
coop is well ventilated, and they only go in it to lay and at night. I’m thinking about putting a fan near the “chick port” I made. It’s an old small animal cage modified, with sheets and tarps wrapped around it and roosts inside.
