Which breed?

I'm thinking about getting 2-3 ducks. I was reading up on breeds and I can't decide between these. My brother really wants calls, but I was told they are noisy and not good layers...but they are very cute and he could show them.I want a calm, friendly, good layer, and pretty breed. Which breed do you recommend for me as a beginner?

I would recommend Welsh Harlequins. They are great layers and are very calm.

Cayuas would be good, but I'll go one better and tell you a little about Rouens (Fonce' type).
-They are at least just as quiet as Cayugas,
-They are more colorful,
-They are heavier, but therefore cuter,
-and They are very calm, sedate birds, easy to handle, not fussy, and good for meat (not saying you're getting ducks for meat, but that's one of their qualities, too)

I vote Welsh Harlequin, if you want a lot of eggs, Cayugas if you want a good layer/meat bird. (disclaimer: I don't own ducks yet, so this is based off research I've done)

I say Welsh Harlequin! They are pretty, good layers, and very sweet!
