which BREEDER has the best blue laced red wyandottes?

Ok I`ve held off long enough. I have wanted to ask this very question for a lond time and now the coop is ready. So who has good BLRW near central Indiana.I think this color is so interesting but I want Blue laced red not Blue Laced Brassy. Thank You Chris

The two breeders mentined above have great birds. This doesn't mean that you won't get chicks with brassiness since they are still a work in progress. When you breed birds that have the brassiness or even the golden color that is the color that is going to be passed to the chicks. The foleys and Jesse Paul raise and cull large amounts of chicks to be able to choose the best to breed for the color that they are striving toward since there is no standard yet. I've got blue laced reds but all my males have brassiness in the hacklkes except one and he will be the one I keep for breeding but I'm not gonna offer eggs or chicks untill I can get the quality of these 2 breeders!

Ideal has some. I ordered Blue laced and silver laced. Not sure on quality- have to see how the little peeps mature

Thank you for all the kind words...........We cull all the brassiness from our breeding program and it has taken some years to come up with breeding pens that we are some what satisfied with, but you can not completely breed the brassiness out because you are working with the gold gene....they will pop up now and then no matter what. We raise about 150 BLRW a year because we cull for color and type at the same time. We also breed for bigger birds like Wyandottes should be. My husband likes to take on projects.....just glad he didn't pick horses....but I think our feed bill would have been lower going that route....LOL
We live about 45 min. south of Louisville for you IN folk. There is no min. order for pick up.

Ruth Bloch? She has bantams and there is an auction running now for an assortment of eggs from a guy in Texas that includes BLRW eggs. Dick Horstman also has bantam BLRW eggs listed in the auction section.

Ruth Bloch - is out of Washington state if I remember correctly and the only place I have found her contact info is through PaulsPoultry.com, I think she is listed under "links" on there website but she does not have a website as far as I know.
And I am not sure about Josh who has a current auction running, but he does have a couple pictures of his birds listed in the auction.
Hope that helps!
