I believe the responses I got from the ones that had experienced both extremes, basically said they would rather be colder with less humidity than deal with more humidity in our more moderate winters. The heat was pretty much the same. They would rather have 100+ temps with low humidity than have 90-100 and high humidity. I’m not gonna go search it out though. I felt like we were complaining too much but apparently we are not.

Well it does come to mind, why the hell do we live here?

Of course there are so many good reasons too but damn it’s hot and humid

Are they expensive to keep? How many od you have?

We have a large pasture for them so at this point they only need water. I do throw them a couple flakes of hay but they just like to sleep in it.
During the winter I gave them as much hay as they needed plus a scoop of feed. But no, overall I would say they're not expensive to keep.
