Same here. Its already much cooler and we've had on and off rain this morning. They've put out a severe thunderstorm warning as well. I used to shrug those off, but after last weekend's hell storm, I'm less inclined to do that nowYuck. That's about what we were. Supposed to storm today and cool things off. Is that where it ended up?I'm making biscuits but my rolling pin has disappeared. $5 says that my kids took it to roll out Play-Doh.
The AC isn't working in the office today. It's over 80 inside and it's just after 10.Once you’re spoiled to having a/c, it would be terrible to go back. I could do it but prolly run my bottom lip out for a while. We were born into it and didn’t know any different.
I haven't found it yet. The kids are all pleading innocent. Is that where it ended up?
What could the husband use it for I wonder?I haven't found it yet. The kids are all pleading innocent.![]()
The only thing I've found intimidating is when I start reading a thread only to realize it is 1,345 pages long! Wow, y'all!
When I was a kid my dad would not allow an a/c in his house. He was a framing contractor (building houses and apartment complexes) and worked along side his crews. He always said the a/c would make it too hard to work in the Alabama heat. So, we always had the exhaust fans in the windows. The house we had was a very big 2 story house built in the 1800’s he had remodeled. I remember it stayed so cool in there especially at night with those fans.My favourite is when I can open the windows and get fresh air us cool the house that way. Doesn't work when it's 80 outside though, obviously lol

Let's see, in 7 and 1/2 years of marriage I can remember him using it twice. Once for making Christmas cookies and another time for cinnamon rolls. What could the husband use it for I wonder?
