Oh yeah, all those things are a no-go. Plus I don't even find them very cute.
Bird types... At one point we went to go pick up an animal
Ya, that's pretty accurate.
We went to go pick an animal up once, and when we arrived at the house we heard this screeching through the door.
Turned out the person selling also kept 50+ birds. Filled most of the house.
5 or so different macaws, with this rare one deep blue colored, and apparently it's species couldn't close their beaks all the way. No idea how many different types of other birds besides that.
There was this one pinkish white cockatoo that I remember distinctly, it would screech the loudest out of all of them. On top of that, it had this perch that was worn down smooth, and in a second, we found out why. The bird would literally hop on, and start spinning around it, and would eventually go so fast you would think the perch was geared to a motor.
It did all sorts of crazy stuff, spinning on the side of the cage as if was one of those sticks people spin between their fingers.
Oh, and on top of all that, here comes my favorite part, the old lady's co worker was a zoologist, and had SEVEN Gila monsters in the basement (nice basement)
On top of that, the person had a King Cobra and a Coral snake in the garage in terrariums.
Turns out that the lady had a business where she used the birds for exotic photography (taking pictures of them with people, for commercials, etc.)
And the guy had a letter written to him from David Attenborough commemorating him for his work.
The lady also had about a dozen hedgehogs too.

Seven Gila monsters! I admire someone who keeps so many monsters in the basement😍
Were the birds in large cages? I know a lady who only had two or three birds, but even one was too many for her, they had mites sooo bad😞

I had to shake my phone like a madwoman to get a proper photo.

Moony gives stink eyes.

(I am a reptile nut. It was heavenly.)
They were! The only one that was in a small cage was a very old one. It was small and weak and wrapped in a towel, with treats on one side and water on the other.
The whole house was full of big cages. The macaws had the living room walls to themselves, with only a few square feet in the center left.
Only one had mites, it was quarantined and being treated, and only one was missing feathers from feather pulling, a rescue bird. The rest were top notch.
