Oh I don't play politics. I gave up when I realized that no matter what, they don't affect me or mine, therefore, they have no use. I'm not a Patriot because of what I see in the people around me. You know, one day I was in Walmart and a small crowd was b!tching cuz they couldn't get into the soda aisle. As that was the aisle I was aiming for, I wanted to know what these people were just standing around for. They were standing there, all of them younger and able bodied, hurrying an older woman who wasn't able to lift a case of ginger ale into the bottom of her cart. That was the very moment that I lost all hope for those around me. I was more than happy to knock some scrawny sk@nk into the shelves and out of my way and help that poor woman. And I left snarling a few choice words that shall not be repeated here.

(But as an fyi, I am registered as a Dem. I just gave up caring.)

No offense but that whole paragraph makes no sense. Being proud of your country has nothing to do with rude people in Walmart. And politics is in every aspect of life, whether you realize it or not. I'm not going to go into it because it's against BYC rules but people can be a$$hats no matter what country you live in

I thought the point of the story was that the group were democrats. maybe I read it wrong.
