Yeah it’s funny how you always hear about the record breaking bucks in Illinois, Ohio, and KY and we’re here in the middle like

Most of those are coming off the hunting resorts.

To me the apartment over a resort is not hunting. It is target practice. I’m not judging. Just my opinion.

Sometimes when I was in the tree and when he came into range I was so cold that I couldn’t pull my bow back wondered if I should be in one those heated apartments. Couple times so cold I thought I wasn’t going to be able to make my body work well enough to be able to get down even.

BTDT! I was sooooo cold last season that I couldn’t reload my rifle in time to get the second deer

Me this morning just as seizure dog peed in the floor.

I grew out of hunting. Just isn't for me where I live, it's way too cold and just.. eh. I totally get hunting for meat, my dad still does every year (especially this year), but I just don't see the excitement so much as the duty and chores it brings

No excitement. So boring. lol

I have been so cold and so stiff I thought there was no way I was going to be able to work my way down the tree. I wondered if I just go ahead and step off if I would shattered like ice when I hit the ground. Would it be better if they found me that way instead of froze solid in the tree?

Tell that to your butt after a few hours. I can't stand to sit still that long. I'd have to bring a book and have someone tell me when the deer show up.
