Lost another tree somewhere this morning around 2am. I heard it crack and felt the house shake. I went out with a light to find it, but it apparently didn't fall anywhere important, unless it's up on the road. Idk about trees in y'all's woods, but we have massive live oaks, sweet pines, and ponderosa pines. Most are over 100'. We call them "widowmakers" because they often make widows when the fall.

We have coyotes (though I have yet to see one) and the usual assortment of hawks, raccoons and possums in the neighborhood. We also had an eight foot alligator from City Park cross the levee and crawl 6 blocks through the neighborhood to the grammar school before being seen. ;)
We have had to put some of the schools out here on lockdown because of bears and mountain lions near campuses.

They're show quality calls, which means they're difficult to hatch and often need assistance. I believe the pastel color is more uncommon too.
Good quality calls in general can be expensive, and Mare got hers from a breeder that specializes in them.
Thank you for 'splainin' that!
