I know it's great in theory, but I just can't get past the factor of actually growing bug larvae on purpose.

I considered doing something like that but that’s one more thing to do in a day. Small it may be, but my lazy streak does exist.

But it's chicken food. I'd have to see what it takes including time but I'd rather work then spend so if it cuts some costs I'm considering it.

I know, firesians are not gret for going fast and jumping things, and are vain little twits. I've worked with them. Doesn't matter. Still want. I'd probably get a warmblood or irish sport if I wanted to really competetively jump, but for bumming around and really enjoying a ride, I'd be good with a firesian or a GV.

Ooh, yes! I love Friesians too. Absolutely gorgeous horses.

We grow meal worms. It’s gross at first, but you desensitize to it pretty quick. Next thing you know, you’ve named them all Henry & are counting them as pets when people ask about your animals.

What’s the yield like compared to the amount of work you put into it?

I've had mealworms for about a year now. I originally got them as a treat for my gecko, but she's picky and didn't eat them so now I'm stuck with them. Then they turned into beetles and had eggs in here tank before I could remove them, when they later had more eggs. I started with 15 and ended up with over 100
Mealworm math I guess. I was back to 15 until last week when I got some more so I can give them to my chickens.
