I'm pretty sure I read on here somewhere that when compared in similar situations as far as feed and living conditions, that the broad breasted whites grew bigger than the broad-breasted bronze. I should dig around to see if I could find that. I think Bob said it, if I remember correctly.Depends on how long you grow-out and genders
I did 3 bronze and a white last year and white hen was smallest at 20# while bronze were 22,23,25 but first year, white tom dressed at 18# @4 months
Iâve still got the 25# in the freezerâŚâŚI need to see if heâs planning to cook it for Mothers Day so I can get all the stuff this weekCome on, Mr Muddy! Lol
I seriously love turkeys. Love their noises, their behavior... Just love them. They taste pretty good, too.
You just freeze them whole, then? We didn't have the freezer space for that last year due to how many chickens and pigs we raised.Iâve still got the 25# in the freezerâŚâŚI need to see if heâs planning to cook it for Mothers Day so I can get all the stuff this week
In generalâŚ..yes. In hindsight, he said he wished he had cut it up but yes we froze it whole. We didnât get as much deer and the chickens went into the other chest deep freeze with the garden stuffYou just freeze them whole, then? We didn't have the freezer space for that last year due to how many chickens and pigs we raised.
