Emma is smart.There are two bases all horse colors are built off of. Chestnut (sorrel) and black. Bay, is black with the agouti gene, which restricts the black pigment to the points of the horse.
Other colors rebuild off of these three bases.
Bay + cream
1 copy: buckskin
2 copies: perlino
Sorrel + cream
1 copy: palomino
2 copies: cremello
Black + cream
1 copy: smokey blac
2 copies: smokey creme
Bay + dun= bay sun/dun
Chestnut + dun= red dun
Black + dun= grulla/blue dun
Bay roan
Red roan
Blue roan
Brown is black with the A^t agouti gene
And you can see it goes on and on, all over those three bases, and the third base uses one of the original two bass
