Most farms will still sell a steer for $3.50/lb around here. You pick it out and they carry to butcher.

That's what we used to do. Started with just a quarter cow when we only had one kid, then a half, then a whole. Had a nice big chest freezer to put all the meat in and it lasted so long.

I want to air bnb. Id be a good host take folks on the bayous or in the marsh and swamp being a tour guide. Cooking, bringing them through new Orleans and the French Quarter and stuff but my wife keeps thinking we'll get a serial killer

That would be so cool. There are tons of people that would love to pay for that. Such unique experience.
I'm sure you have assured her that the chances of getting a serial killer are very low?

Generally they want to keep a low profile. Renting out air bnb and killing the owners wouldn't be very low profile
