Let's focus on Good things, why would anyone want to intimidate or scare someone, then be praised for it?

It wasn't about "wanting" to. The idea came from a conversation about people being scared of members and how many were unjustly so.
How some members were perceived.
Not sure where you got the idea anyone was looking for praise. If you read back in the beginning mostly the ones that were excited to try and make the list were the least scary members here.
