Wouldn't that be neat? I just think it's very cool how in a relatively short time, the reintroduced animals have made a positive impact on the environment and theoretically could make a huge impact on the climate by affecting the permafrost and the release of greenhouse gasses like methane.

Much like the ban on commercial whaling allowed humpback numbers to climb. The whales produce massive amounts of waste that feed microorganisms that format the base of the marine food chain. Blooming phytoplankton allows krill populations to expand, thus increasing the number of fish and so on and so forth. It's interesting to see how marine sanctuaries are also able to affect the oceans.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...

There’s been a humpback whale or maybe multiple in a bay right near us. It’s been super neat. I think they finally moved on though but they were there for like a month or two. They said they’re juveniles. Usually are wayyyyynout in the sanctuary
