A professional piercer. That's the ONLY acceptable way.What other way is there?
For one, earrings come in different gauges. If you pierce your ear, or anything else, with a common sewing needle or pin, then the earring you choose to push through the hole will tear the skin. You risk infection that way. Also, the amount of scar tissue created will make any future attempts around the makeshift piercing site more painful than if you had simply paid a professional to pierce you.Why? My sister did her own helix. Literally stabbed it with a stud earring.Well then it's a good thing I was going the professional route anyways

My piercer said if you don't mess with the piercing, you don't get those nodule things. Whatever those bumps are calledI want a triple forward helix. I'm just nervous as heck to have my cartilage done.![]()
