My only secrets are from watching college football from age 6. I don’t get into the Vegas, or any online betting. I do it the old fashioned way. A bookie I can call up and drive to see. None of this plus and minus this and that. It muddies the water. He gives me the games he is offering and the line he has on them which may, or usually not, be what Vegas has. I can take or lay, or choose if a pick ‘em. I can play every game he is offering or I can play just one if I want. I wager what I want on each game I decide to play. If the game tied then of course he wins.

He offers over and under but I also stay away from that. He should bar me because I have a nice side gig with him but he makes enough off of everyone else I guess. Plus, he is a degenerate gambler. Of course, I have used others through the years. If he stops giving me money I will find another.

I love sports, and I'll do fantastic league type stuff with folks at work, but I just can't bet real money. Makes me all nauseous and stuff. I'm not prepared to lose. Y'all must be both made of sterner stuff and much more wealthy than I am.

My fave sports right now are baseball, cricket, and hockey. Football is great, too, but I have a hard time following it without TV or a reliable internet source. Too much effort. Hubby subscribes to hockey and cricket on our smart TV, so those I can catch up on more easily.

ETA: Little-known fact about Auntie is that she played football in high school.

i gamble what i’m prepared to lose and nothing more. i also don’t chase losses.

i have fun gambling on football with my friends, so it keeps me interested both in the games and socially. i’m not a huge football fan other than the games i have money on.
