I'm not part of the clean plate club with my kids. I usually require them to finish their meat, but that's it. Only thing I've mentioned about kids in other countries is that my kids should be grateful even if I cook something they don't like, because a lot of times there are people more unfortunate than us who don't have a choice or don't have anything at all.
