I'm pretty good at interior design and remodeling (I have a degree in the former), but I have a feeling my personal design aesthetic wouldn't go over well with this lot...
What school of design do you follow? I'm in the "what can I afford at goodwill?" school. I really never left it after college and having kids.

Lack of funds or being beaten down? I like to think both. :plbb

"Upcycling." I think it's adorable.
Most of that one is recycled. The brass hose bib was new, the mason jar lid is new and the electrical internals are new. The rest came from scrapyards or yard sales. Then made it all matching levels of "dirty" :)

My personal preference is "modern eclectic," which would definitely include Goodwill.

It's awesome! I love that kind of stuff - creativity, function, and style.

Isn't that Steampunk?
Don't say that to a steampunker, they tend to get really angry about pipe lamps and things with gears glued on. :) But yeah, could be steam/diesel/aether or just a nice weathered industrial vibe. Fits in a lot those type of styles
