Which BYC member scares you?

Cook at home? It is SO much cheaper but a lot of people can't / won't cook any more.
(A friend told me that some of the high end homes they're building don't even have the kitchens installed.)

This is becoming a common phrase for me: Are you serious? I much prefer to make my own food; yet I sometimes find myself in need of something heartier than a rice cake or banana when I go to lunch, so I hit up our WM's Subway. When our deli is not open, anyway.

Oh I go for the hush puppies. When I get over that way and feel like waiting 30 minutes.

Girl! You HAVE to get down here and get some REAL seafood. Softshell crab po boys, broiled oysters, Gumbo, boiled crawfish. (I'll be back in a while.)

I would kill for that kind of seafood. I'm not big on seafood. Shrimp and crab are good. Not huge on fish but do like fresh if its cooked right. Don't like lobster or any sort of mollusk.

Fast food isn't the first choice UNLESS your both working, on the road, working long hours, etc...

Those are the only times I even consider it. At all other times, I am cooking, or going to bed hungry because I am too tired to make anything.

Well, f*ck. Maybe I will stop considering it as an option the one day a month it is actually open. I usually go for celery sticks; mostly water, so fewer calories, and I enjoy the crunch they make.

I offered to cook for girlfriend. She didn't want to wait and ran off to McDooDoo's cause it's faster and she's hungry.
By the time she returned, I was sitting down to a broiled porkchop, warmed from a can, blackeyed peas and fresh rice. She wanted to know if I made her any. I told her to eat her McDooDoo's.

Didn't have that problem again.

You pay them for celery? This is why God invented ziplocks and those little purse backpack things that you girls all seem to carry. Pack your own!

This talk of various places makes reminds me to go to the local places that are great while I can. They don't "need" my business (well established), but could retire and close shop. I need to get it while I can.
